This is all that is left of what used to be called St. Pauls Railway Bridge. These abutments date from 1862.

I've seen abutments many times but never through these eyes, Paul. Interesting juxtaposition with St Paul's dome. I think the square format helps the composition no end....it implies it might be medium format and therefore gives it a bit more gravitas
