Derek,
I'm glad you are using Nicolas Claris' action! I find that there are delicate shadows in the foreground that might be picked up and enhanced. So there seems to be two sources of light. A harsh sunlight from behind the camera to the left. The first guess was that there's also a second, more diffuse light from the sky from the front. This however it's just the reflection of the large boulder in the wet sand. In any case it might be worthy to see if such feature can be enhanced a tad.
