I did this when wind was blowing leaves had to take it. The reds were fantastic not saturated that much just a little. I did it last year with s-60 taken raw before I got XT. I have learned more PP so I thought you would enjoy it. I kind of like it a little impressionistic bit.

Don

Don,
Magnificent color! Aaron started early with fall pictures. I love the colors marking the seasonal changes. Take advantage and shoot and share more!
Try to take this at sunset with a wider angle as more trees get involved.

I agree about the color... or take it with a longer lens and abstract composition.

Don,
It is nice you respond and give advice. I will try these methods with my XT 17-85 I will have a wide view. I was limited in the detail from the s-60. But one I took last year was better, and I will post it later.

I was suggesting a shot zoomed in. Imagine your posted shot above cropped to the bottom left 1/4.

The reds look totally blown to me, by the RAW converter being very ambitious with saturation.

John,
This was with a s-60 compact .I did not have a tripod so the shutter speed was1/50.The wind was blowing and the leaves were really that red. Even in zoombrowser without being converted yet they are that color.
I appreciate your opinion and like getting responses.

Don
