Spring budding

I'm not sure what type of tree this is from. I enjoyed the colors..

But sure do love them colors and the gentle, almost pastel, contrast.

Well done.

Jake,

This is so delicate an creates an atmosphere of fine silk veils dancing. Where is all the lilac color coming from? I'm amazed that at f16 the lens still throws the twig out of focus!

Thanks fahim. I have no clue what it is either!

Thanks for the kind words Asher.
My focus distance was .30cm. So my DOF would be less than 1cm. One thing I am not sure of about is what camera uses for its exif info. Does it use the actual aperture used or the effective aperture due to light loss. The tokina transmits the effective aperture while shooting. So I'm not sure if I was shooting at f16 and the effective was f32 or if I was shooting at f8 with an f16 effective aperture. If that makes any sense.

Do other marco lens not throw the background that much at f16?
