Makin copies!

Heres one from the back yard last night. Not sure what species they are but they sure are happy!

Hi Jake

This photo has it all: interest, originality, fun, very good composition and technique... well done!

My first thoughts are that it seems much darker at work than on my computer at home.

That's possible for sure, but perhaps you are being metaphorical?

The picture is most probably darker at work than at home because it is saved in the adobe RGB color space (Nikon version). On a color-managed browser, it will look correct. On a non color-managed browser it will look a bit lighter and desaturated.

Thanks for the comments. I meant literally darker. I need to get my new monitor color corrected and drop the brightness a tad. I just recall a bit more underbody detail, which may not help because of the shallow DOF.

Would this apply to a non-color managed monitor as well?

Presumably, no. But, since the devil lies in the details, nothing is sure.

What about simply saving this picture as sRGB? If it then looks identical at both places, you have your answer.

Jake,

What a generous fellow! He's making a safe deposit of his entire ancestry! It's like writing one's will and being the executor at the same time! Unless he has a tiny digital camera, there's not much left for him to do in life!

Decisive moment Jake. If ever there was one.

Doing what we all instinctively do ( or want to anyway ).

Wonder if he dies afterwards?
