Captured this beautiful swallowtail on one of my hikes. Has an odd wing stance, more
bat like, it was windy at the time. Your thoughts on this one ?

Dwayne,

This is so unusual for the work you usually share with us. Here the scene is macro really. The strong and fascinating essential matter of the image is the butterfly settling on the prickly/thistle plant seed pod. If I might be allowed to speak openly, there's some issues with the rest of the real estate used here.

60% of the rest of the image can be removed and the image is then more demanding of our attention. Unlike a pastoral scene in the wood with some deer visible and all the scene bucolic, here most of the picture has zero draw and IMHO, weakens a good picture.

Just my 0.02 cents

Asher
