Cem,

what happened to the photo?

I recall it, but not to every detail.

Do I have to use the word Gracht instead of Canale?

I hope it will be visible again.

Best regards,
Michael

Well, Cem,

With global warming, it seems that we might be seeing more scenes of modern towns being flooded and made to look like they boat wonderful canals as the storms subside and the waters reflect the buildings. Sometimes links get broken, but I too remember the image so clearly. I love the reflections in the water. It does remind us of Venice, albeit in a modern era, just like when we see Shakespearean plays restaged in modern dress. We don't have gondolas, otherwise it would be perfect.

I saw the picture and loved it but hesitated to be the first to comment and then I've been working long hours on the documenting of the making of Crescent city, inspired loosely on the dire situation of a New Orleans, battered by hurricanes and then about to be struck again.
