That is quite pretty and looks really good in black and white. Have you considered a crop so that the stem would not be so central; Personally I think it would be stronger but perhaps you are a purist. I know some people don't like to crop at all.
I did look at a crop however the grace of unfolding in the stem would be lost_ I think is central_
nature is very, very graceful for me_ just my take! Thank you!

I feel an experience of the sudden presentation: like the hands removed in a "peek-a-boo" game, the vegetation on either side has pulled back to reveal this sensual frond.

the fern is some sort of "Mammoth" fern I found this Summer at Houston Patio fell in love with its size
