We hear lately about new cameras with a "1 inch" sensor size. How big is that?
In the bizarre system of size destination often used for cameras with "smaller" sensors, that would be a 16.5 mm sensor (that is, in terms of diagonal size). In inches, its diagonal size would be 0.65".
Note that in that system, the 43.3 mm sensor size found in full-frame 135-film cameras would be designated "1/0.38 inch."
Best regards,
Doug
