Wonderful, specially the first one, so delicate!

Klaus,

A most stunning composition, with the writing in astonishing secrets in the background, as if Pollock was spreading paint from hundreds of tubes to distract us from the flower itself.

Only question: how large can you print it to be as amazing at 1 meter? :)

Thanks Asher! Well, I have made prints of similar to 1x1 meters (3x3") and it works very well. This is one of ZEISS' high(est) resolving lenses with >200lppm (line pairs per millimeter), so that's not a limit.

Klaus,

That's one fabulous lens!

Which is it and what format is it for?

With your calculation and that format, what's the largest 300 dpi print you might be able to make?

Well, this lens allows about 5000dpi then covering an image size of 1200x800mm, so if only 300 dpi would be needed,
in theory it would allow for 18 x 12 meters prints (make that half, to allow for some reserve) ;-
Sensor size covered is up to 55mm diameter, quite more than FF demands (43mm), so obviously the sensor is the limitation...

But before you get your hopes up too much, back focal length is rather short, so it won't fit a D800E, but a Sony A7R.
