the sentinel

this female redwinged blackbird seems to be keeping watch as the sun goes down... i like shooting in this light, and was able to isolate the bird against a distant background to achieve a nice, bokeh background. Panasonic FZ20, 12x zoom with TCON-14B teleconverter (~ 600mm), 1/250 @ f4.0...

Winston, what absolutely lovely work. I've been looking at some of your other photos of birds and your fine skill and good taste are abundantly in evidence. With this, you've captured the beauty of a bird so often unnoticed. There are red-wing blackbirds everywhere here and yet as nature would design it, the females seem to fade in comparison to their male counterparts. Here, you've shown her subtle beauty ....and she IS a beauty.

Holly :)

Not only do I like your picture, Winston, but love that it's made with a camera you didn't have to rob the bank for! It is wonderful that the Olympus tele lenses work.
How easy is it to use and to assemble. The camera I guess is no longer a little digicam!

Do you also have Macro lenses and what about the UV or polaroid filters, do they add that to the adapter or on to the front of you add-on lens?

Asher

BTW, is there not a Leica tele lens to add instead?
