Blue Sky

I had been asked about that and if it is the lens: It is not the lens, it is the right light (spring and autumn) which produces such a blue sky BG, about any (non yellowed/browned) lens can do that , it is not dependent on lens type ....

Nice...

The blue as background gives clean images of leaves and flowers.
Terribly sharp as usual ! Even the one with the iPhone.

Yes it does, I like that a lot and adjust the perspective accordingly,
ideally have the sun shine through my object and get some translucence.
And yes, I like sharp lenses, but usually work with open aperture.

Iphone is not as bad as many say, if there is a lot of light, quite nice
images can be had, as was the case there in Saint Hippolyte, Alsace, France
