Dubaï...
I came there last week to visit a client and shoot his factory.
As I had a day almost free, I shot some pics…

One day in Dubaï…
The land where even taxi drivers get lost because roads are changing every day
The land of sand storms
The land of chilled swimming pool
The land where you may ski on real snow while it is 48°C outside
The land where 20 % of the cranes of the world are used
The land where everything things possible with money

Nicolas, in a story on PBS radio this morning I heard a refutation of the "20% of the world's cranes" figure. The correspondent contacted the CEO of one of the large crane companies, and he said the figure is more like 2% but that is a very significant number none the less.

I really like the night pictures and the pictures at the yacht show.

But needless to say that from anywhere you look in Dubaï, you'll see many, many cranes, quite incredible in fact...

Shooting with the MkII is, though it is the heavy, is always a pleasure, it happens that I do make mistake. Not the camera!
It is fabulous but I'm waiting for the Mk3, yes I do need more pix, for specially enlargement, I'm working now on big enlargements (4 x 3 meters) it works, but quite tricky!

I don't think I'd like the 5D, seems too slow for me focusing in dark light…

Where are you in India, this is a huge country!
No I won't sell my camera, I will keep it as second body when the 1DS Mk3 will be available, I'm not interested in the 1D even Mk3.
A lot of my pics are used in large format, so for me, one one hand number of pixels is important, on the other hand, full frame is important too in regards to very wide angles...

But I'm sure you may find some, even new, the price may drop down when Canon will annonce the DS3...
