I like the concept and the ideia.

I think the photo is very well done as usual but the background seems a bit distracting because it is not unifrom :)

The lower right of the outside one. The background was not lit - not a problem, but there is a shadow and then the lower corner just looks like light fall off that was uneven to me.

Again, congratulations. You constantly look to new areas to test your skills. I like the approach and the growth. This idea of frame in frame is not new, but here I know it's personal.

If you wanted the b.g. of the framed picture to continue in the b.g. of the live image then the shadows and the colors should match. However, that may not be your vision. If that were the case, then I would offer that the colors should be contrasting or complimentary.

The brown hues and the blue hues of the two b.g.s don't go well together in my mind.

So do we want to see an integrated image?

You can readily examine these points and I wonder which of these possibilities you might prefer if you did that?

Still, I'd be proud of the picture. This is the kind of project that is very worthwhile for everyone who wonders about new lenses or more megapixels to emulate. It's the struggle to bring off a concept from one's mind that counts in photography. Nothing else.

No, I didn't want the BGs to be the same. However, I wanted each one to match its FG subject, hence the framed bg is shifted toards magenta (at least on my monitor:-) to match the dress.

This picture was one of the ideas for dgrin's "irregular" challenge, hence I didn't go for classic color combinations, poses, etc. I didn't have a lot of choice, but if you get a feeling of a disturbance of a sort - I got what I wanted:-)

I'm not a lens hog (oh well, who am I kidding? I am a poorly funded lens hog:-), and at the time I have a nice lineup which allows me to do pretty much anything I want except macro, birding and astro. So I'm trying to explore what I can with what I have. I should say that these intense two week challenges are extremely... challenging, especially since I'm not going to beat somebody else (well, that too:-), but to beat my own self, do something I can be at least glad with, if not proud of.

What I miss the most is a decent size studio... My common room is nice, but it's not enough size wise. Forget about taking portraits with 85mm (or longer). I'm glad if I can use 50 :-(

Anyway...

Here's another one for you :-). This one is supposed to be "picturesque".
