It's O.K. to start shooting in the best jpg with your D200. However, as you proceed, you might beneift from moving to RAW files since especially the bride in white and the groom by her side present challenges of rendering the suit as not uniformally black and the brides very expensive dress and veil without the detail of the fabric. You want her face to be well lit. so you need a strobe. Nikon does exceptionally well here, even though I use Canons.
There are a good number of people shooting weddings. So look at that section but also both the Nikon and the Canon fora. You might best do regualr searches under "Wedding" to get your own interests each day.
I'll check about automating this.
In any case, we are a firendly bunch and I'd suggest you do several jobs with a Pro, even for free, so that you can get experience. Ask if you can keep a few of your pictures to create your own wedding and portrait book. That would be your payment.
I have outline before a check list for new wedding photographers. Reserve equipment of everything, a chat to get expectations, everything in writing, back plans for rain, schedule of import parts of the ceremony, protection from other photographers, what they are paying for, schedule of delivery etc.
Besides that, please post your own images for fun in Layback Cafe and also in the various sections for feedback, critique and even editing. Send a PM to Tim Armes if there's an old precious image to go in an album or how to achieve some effect you need help with.
