HI ALL!!!

My name is Hilary and I am new to the OPF. I look forward to sharing my new experiences in photography with all of you. I am only 21 years of age and I am new to the digital spectrum of photography. I have little to no prior schooling in this field and have educated myself thru and thru. I hope that it all pays off...

someone told me this sight would be a great way to get feedback about recent shoots whether it be good or bad I will welcome it...as advice can only make one better if they use the advice given.

my fiance is a photographer as well and photographs bands for a living...it actually pays the bills. i have decided to jump on his bandwagon and become one myself...I have my very first group shot tomorrow and it is for a cover of a magazine...

I hope to speak with most of you over time.

welcome here! Since a certain Clinton, I though Hilary was… feminine! (it may not be the same spelling though).

You'll get some usefull tricks for the use of OPF here (http://www.openphotographyforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=727)

and for posting image within a message, get the URL of your image (ending by .jpg - no php, html etc) and click on this little http://www.openphotographyforums.com/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif on top of your message box.

i am going to be posting some pet images today to start and post some of my shoot tomorrow when i have finished editing them...although i am not educated that well in photoshop.

i did the photoshoot with the band for that cover and i was happy with the results...i will be posting the photos from that session soon, i was just hoping that there would be a MUSIC section for me to post these photos to...

can someone make a new thread for that for me?

There will be such a thread. We need the music too so people can relate to the art. For that we need a release from the artist. So if you can get that, it would be great, otherwise one can refer to a piece of music that we all have or can download for $0.99.

you really do not need a release since bands are all streaming music on myspace...it is in your right to do so as well...just as long as it is not available for download on this site you will be ok to do with it what you please...

Can it be a thread that stands on its own 2 feet...there really are a lot of specialty music photographers that i will tell about the site if that were the case...

Music without accompanying art is welcome for consideration too: as a challenge for photographers to produce images! The photographs and their derivatives are, of course, the © of the photographer and must not be used without license from the copyright owner.
