This looked interesting so I installed it in Firefox. However, it caused a severe screen refresh slowdown, and not only the FF refresh, but all apps.

Anybody else had similar problems?

I looked at it. One of the young foundewrs of the company met with me 2 days ago at my house. The software is early interesting, but needs work.
