The lens after. Works just fine on my older 1.6 multiplier EOS D30 and 10D (both pre EFS) bodies.

Gee. now I know that I'm not to only wierd person here :)
I chopped the back off of mine to see if I could use it on my 1d MkII... works fine..
I should be able to use it on the 1ds MKIII I have on order... That should drive the L lens purists up the wall :^)

That's good fun!
No danger of adding dust to the sensor, by this black "coal" arround the glas od the lens?

The rear assembly is a removable plastic casting that I filled with JB Weld and then had it turned on a lathe. This is the second one I have done. The first was a gift to my sister for her to use on her 10D. Noël Carboni was the first I know to do it. The epoxy is so you do not end up with the center baffle falling out. The cross section of the piece looks like a "W" and when you cut it down the center upside down "V" will fall out. So you fill the 2 "V" sections to hold the center in place.
And NO it will not work correctly on the Full frame cameras (1Ds, 1DsMKII, 1DsMKIII, and 5D). Just look at my 28mm Wide photo.
