Hi all,
I just saw some interesting (for some) 1Ds3 EXIF info from a (pre-production) Raw file, as posted on DPR.. Thought I'd share for those interested.
Athough some of the field values are not correctly interpreted yet by the tool used, there are some interesting things to be noticed (although some might originate from the tool and are not used by Canon yet), such as:
- AF area width height and positions, as well as the number of Af areas in focus
- Sharpness frequency
- Sensor Red/Blue level
- The sensor border coordinates
Here is a more complete list of EXIF tags for all sorts of Canon cameras:
http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/TagNames/Canon.html
http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/TagNames/CanonCustom.html
There can now be even more speculations about future developments (e.g. why would Canon want to record CoC and hyperfocal info in an EXIF).
