Hi, my name is Steve and I'm a photoholic. I started out in 1962 at the USAF Photo School using 8x10 view cameras bought by the government during WWI (yes, I). I bought as my first SLR a Pentax SV. Since then I've added a Leica M2, Pentax A3000, Olympus E-10, and just recently, a Pentax K10D. I wandered by an airport one day and took one of those demonstration flights and got hooked, got all my ratings, and became a flight instructor and charter pilot. Later I was lured by the power of the dark side and joined the FAA as an air traffic specialist from which I retired in 2005. I never drifted very far away from photography and became an enthusiastic amateur. Now that I'm retired I am outfitting myself for some serious amateur photography. Landscape, nature, and travel photography are my favorite interests at the present time. I hope to learn a lot from this forum.
