I would really like to hear constructive comments on this because I will eventually have an exhibition of this kind of photo.

I really like this Marcus..... I have a bit of a thing for doors and gates, so this is appealing to me. I like the contradictions between the shapes, diagonal, vertical and the circles, also the contrasting textures from the wood to the metal, very clever, well observed....

I like this kind of 'abstraction', it has a calming effect. Maybe it would gain a bit if cropped slightly tighter on the right edge (it does depend on how you'll frame it). You could also consider a horizontal flip, which would perhaps work better for Westerners since it then leads the eye back into the image via the left to right upwards diagonal.

I'd add to the right 2-3 inches of the white. Breaks composition rules, but IMHO, captivating.

Thank you all for the comments and ideas.
I was attracted by the repeating of the circular shapes within the angular lines of the window frame. I also happen to like wood and this traditional style handle.
Bart, it's interesting that you saw the line movement as Eastern. I've been in Korea for thirteen years so perhaps I am seeing differently than I would have had I continued to live in Canada. That said, I see the movement of this photo as going from upper left to lower right.
I opened up this file again in Capture NX and played with the right-hand crop according to your ideas. Adding a little more of the white wall would be okay to my eyes but not too much. If I add to much, the left to right visual line of the photo appears droopy to me.
In any case, thank you all for the comments and ideas. It's good to see from other perspective and then open up the file and try other people's ideas.
