Digital Tri-X?

I wonder if there's any research going on to create a digital black and white mode than mimics Tri-X. To me, there has never been a richer black and white film. I would love to see a digital camera, or downloadable update, that could emulate it.

I know that some Photoshop scripts or softwares already exist to emulate various renderings of analog films. But i don't know if researchs are going on cameras themselves.

Doug,

DXo sell a 'film pack' which is available as part of the raw conversion software or as a photoshop plugin. This includes a tri-x rendering. You can download a trial I suspect.

Here is a sample and a 100% detail, shot during a shoot of 50 young ballet dancers the other day!
