I thought you might be interested in a post from Ted Chavalas of Panoscan on the Betterlight forum. Note that it is about using an iPhone to control the Betterlight, but maybe some of you can figure out a few more tricks.

Greetings,
Recently we had some Panoscan customers asking for a way to operate
ViewFinder from a remote control. After running into some dead ends
with various Wireless USB hubs on Mac... We discovered that remote
VNC screen sharing works surprisingly well with an iPhone. (Or iPod
Touch) You get full control of your camera's computer via WiFi.
You need to enable screen sharing on your Mac or PC. You also need a
VNC client for the iPhone. I recommend Mocha VNC. ($5.95) VNC Lite
also works OK... but you can't rotate the screen on the free version.
Your computer will also need a WiFi transceiver. (Most Laptop
machines have it built in.) You can download the VNC client from the
iTunes application store.
I made a demo video of what it looks like to run your Better Light
camera on an iPhone.
