Children of the new millennium

Bangladesh is a land of huge prospect, having a dense population like ours; no other countries of third world are surviving such happily. Even poverty, corruption and political insurgency couldn’t rupture our 150 millions spirited souls.

Socio-economic ups and downs and globalization bang always hosting a momentous role to any country. Bangladesh is nothing different to that. The cultural homogeneity and patriotism has been holding us as a unique nation.

The angel faces you are watching, they will always keep on smiling, even many of them didn’t have a proper meal in that morning for sure.

The children are from Karail Bustee (squatter), Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Hope forum members will raise awareness for the distressed.

Hi Ashik,

This is a complex dilemma. First these kids are wonderful and should get to have care and opportunity for a rich fulfilled life and also the values to give back to society and make their home a better place. How do we break the cycle of poverty, with the poorest people having no family planning and the highest birth rate? Now, with supply of clean water and some food, most children live to have children that again they can give little chance of breaking the pattern! So we have a almost permanent clash of values that seems to consume a society from within.

Is there any debate within the community leaders who matter, on this and how to give this generation a different future?

Asher
