From my street wanderings...I like the way they're hanging on to the Statue of Liberty.

nice capture-

yes the way they are holding on to our Liberty" I would say
holding on to something that represents so much to many-Hope for all" for Them"
also
what is so very cool for me in the shot is the flag- in the center" while some are holding on to our "Liberty" sort of a cunundrum isn't it?

awesome catch! love your bandw -
nice-

Hi Charlotte,
Sorry for so long to say thanks for the compliments, been a bit hectic here.
I, too thought it was an interesting image. It's a tighter crop of a shot of Pakistani Day Parade participants. They were standing on a parade float as it passed me.
So, as always, thanks for the kind words...they're much appreciated!

I don't care what they are cheering for as long as it's about joyous things and yes it is all that! These are energetic young women with a sense of pride in their heritage and that's a great thing to have!

Well said Asher. That's one of the many reasons I enjoy shooting in NYC - the ethnic diversity.
Unless you live in a major metropolitan area, you will likely never experience it.
