Yesterday morning my mom went out to look at the sky.. . Just to know whether she can dry the clothes in the sun.. She went upstairs with a coffee... I went behind her to click up something.. And this is the result..

Oli,

Excellent transition going on from one floor to the next from dark to light.

Could you bring back the shadow on the wall. Was this larger? did you crop it?

Hi Oli,

We don't need higher resolution, just the original composition of the picture before cutting part of it away!

Good luck!

Hi Asher,

I respectfully disagree with you on this. The picture is as it was intended by the creator, with or without the cropping which may have taken place in the process. Why, then, should one show us the uncropped version? Can't we take a shown picture at its face value?

As far as I am concerned, this is a fine enough picture as is.

Hi Cem,

I'm interested in the original intent and how the image evolved. I'm interested in seeing the shadow better rendered. I already enjoy what was delivered. However, the path it got there is something of value too.

IOW, was more of the shadow in the original plan

Cem,

The picture "is-as-it-was-intended-by-the-creator" was actually changed in cropping and final presentation.

Remember I always support the idea of going wider anyway and cropping later on when one is not influenced by the sounds, sights and smells of the location.

The original intent will be somewhere in the original picture but might be very different from the later intent. So I'm interested in the process and the choices.

None of this alters what I like of this picture, however, it's its provenance and those choices may not have been necessarily the best for that motif. Often, excessive cropping takes away some of the essential essence of the picture. If I didn't care for the picture, I'd not have asked for the original.

This image "speaks" to me. It conveys a mood, a story, captures my interest and holds it. I'll have to study it to figure out why, but this ..... I like.
