Southern Moon Magnolias

Charlotte Thompson

Well-known member
Heavily shaded in black and white in order to show shadows of the light through the flower and leaves. In the South these Magnolia flowers are most beloved. I adore them most at night
when the air is full of their light sweet scent and the moon wraps them in a cetain love-
I tried to capture these - love, light, flower and moon-many thanks
Charlotte-

Hi Charlotte
the first one is really interesting and so far away from your usual posts!

… another version with some subtle colors?

Merci Nicolas

I hope this French is correct!

Wow! not bad at all!

thank you for coming back and your kind spirit I appreciate so much

merci

Thank you Charlotte
Your text did bring the inspiration…

Less poetic: Though it is correct but in the common sense, "haleine" is when I eat too much garlic ;-)
Not really appropriate here!

LOL on the garlic breath-
is it then

haleine d'ail-

I am not for sure if that is what you mean
what would the French do without garlic! I cook it always-
I am happy I could inspire such beautiful thoughts from you!

Rachel

Why thank you sweet lady-I am becoming more interested in shooting flowers thse days and of course putting special "spin" on the final product- I cannot not do that as you well know-

I cook garlic almost in everthing I make-
I adore garlic
and I must say I don't trust anyone who doesn't eat garlic

this is about the most pale I can make thiswithout losing the flower shape-the magnolia is a very white flower- for you then-

Thank you so much Charlotte!
However my though "some pale and subtle pastel colors…" were much about colors, not light, now we have lost the very good tones you got on the first post…
Thank you anyway for your try "for me"…
