A very nice sharp BIF image of the heron with plenty of detail. I'm not an expert but I think if you move the heron to the left so that it isn't exactly centered would improve your composition.

Very nice image. I agree with Steve...the bird needs a little room to fly into.

I'm also a little distracted by the tangency of the wing and the rock. The only way I know to get around this kind of problem is five frames-per-second or higher ;-)
