Once again you're in the sights of a 1/ton beast; not my idea of comfort! This bear is magnificent. The coat is very well drawn in your picture. Maybe a fight wound on the left neck but that could be poor grooming today! The magnificent snout is sensing everything. Yes the grass, at least could come down in saturation, but the bear is perhaps fine as is.

A comment on the eyes. They are naturally small compared to the snout and mass of the entire bear. So I'd add an S curve to the eyes and the triangle below them on each side and then sharpen. That way, the stare will dominate, not the mild disturbance your presence elicits. What do you think of that possibility.

Awesome photo... I really enjoy all you bear photos since I don't get to see them in the wild. We have some small Black Bears here but never have had the chance for an encounter.
