Now they can be published, so here they are.

Many congratulations Frank, very well done as usual! I do not like the extreme post processing for the skin but the main topic of this Goldwell competition is hair styling if I'm not mistaken? In that case, also considering the awards rewarded, you have done the right thing.

Cheers,

Hi Frank,

Great shots. I especially like no. 1 and 3. Price-winners indeed.

I don't like the artificial skin. I cannot 'connect' to a live model when she looks like a mannequin doll. Maybe it looks better at a larger size because more detail will show, but at this size things are too smooth, like plastic.

The head of no. 2 is too tightly cropped for my taste (but I recognize it as your style). The overall skin tone is a bit dark/gloomy.

No.3 shows/suggests motion in the hairs, which is nice because it reveals life, frozen in an instant. The suggested motion makes it easier for an observer to 'connect' with the model (despite the skin).

Thanks for sharing,
Bart

The cropping is something the hairdressers really want for this look.
Sometimes I have to show the whole hair, sometimes they really need a crop.
I always shoot complete with hair and crop later for them.

Doug,

You picked my favorite too. I like her vibe. It's one of those cocktail party moments when you think you are going to meet someone very interesting with some special story to tell. I like her active body to go with a rough look hair. The color scheme, full of sienna and gold, is perfect.
