Art from Found Photographs Sadly, works get forgotten. A good eye can bring new life if one has humor, knowledge and vision. The used pictures must be either yours, from the public domain or legal rights of usage having been obtained. Be prepared to explain image sources without being defensive or mad at the moderator. This does not diminish your art, just helps with historical provenance.

Charlotte,

I'm happy to see this. There's some extra discipline and restraint evident here.

Charlotte Thompson:Rain Walker

I like the appearance of the Victorian era woman.

Charlotte, wonderful work. Defining one's own style like you are doing is something very few attempt,
and even fewer are good at.

Best wishes.

Charlotte,

this is a fine idea - reminds me a little of Francis Bacon - with the sense of distorsion on the face / neck / body.

keep them coming.

cheers

This is especially interesting because of the laces in the corset which give rise to all sorts of meanings.

This was such an old and almost too old to do anything with corset ad LOL but I knew I could find something! So I did this. Reminds me a silent walk through the mind. Almost a meditation of sorts
Glad to see you here-

Very inspiring thread that I hadn't noticed previously. This is a style of processing that appeals to me a lot.

Thank you. I love making these transparency overlays. This process and my voice in the process has been three years in the making. Still in the making. I do some book cover art. I sell prints in Europe. Mostly I just love to make them!

Your work is gorgeous, Charlotte. When I look at them I think immediately of symphonic metal bands such as Angtoria, Within Temptation etc., Deep, powerful, layers upon layers, emotional and beautiful.

Maggie

Thank you so much- What you have written is exactly what I hope for every individual to feel on their own level- So many layers to human emotions and I try to show that emotion with this art- I spend almost all of my artistic time working toward this. it is the "cliche" labor of love-
Really appreciate your words!
