Question: Canon XF 300 and XF 305 files to Final cut Pro X

What's the most efficient way to convert these files to Final Cut Pro X into Apple Prores format.

Canon software doesn't do it!

These are knew to me. I'll look at them today.

I have just tried at least 3 programs so far,

• Canon's utility which can't recognize its own files as yet,
  
  
• Aunsoft's TransMXF which works but with issues they are trying to help solve
  
  
• AVCware: difficult interface to scroll through to find file types. MXF not discovered!

Also Pavtube MXF converter is another promising one I found this morning. However, it is just an apparently identical clone of the Aunsoft TransMXF converter that I'm already facing issues with.

After Pavtube MFX finishes processing a bunch of MFX files to Apple ProRes, and I see if the files open, I'll try the two you suggest.

I should warn you that I have not tried this software myself, I just did a quick google search.

That was helpful. They were missed with the keywords I used, LOL! Still, PAVtube is also producing audio only clips! Audio alone is a non-starter! So that was a waster of time.
