Charlotte,

This picture I like and find the black space generous enough for me to get into to receive the falling flower.

Dropping off into the Dying
Charlotte Thompson

Orchids don't cry

but they don't die silently

Like a feather,

before the fall, a wispy creak

almost a sigh,

as the flower says goodbye

Here's my hand,

We'll both fly down together!

Asher

You have seen and felt my intentions exactly! I thought the black space added to the drama of the falling and dying orchid petal. Metaphorically speaking- Your poem works brilliantly with the photo. Thank you.

Charlotte, this is such a lovely image that I keep coming back to it. And Asher's words and thoughts sent me off into another direction...

' Alas, that Spring should vanish with the Rose!

That Youth's sweet-scented Manuscript should close!

The Nightingale that in the Branches sang,

Ah, whence, and whither flown again, who knows! '

Lovely image indeed.

Kindest regards

Fahim

Thank you for that beautiful poem! It is so very touching to know that my photo inspires other art.
I think art is a muse for one another- in humanity we should bother to feel something more than the need for money, power etc....
