Default Andres and the happy seagulls

Carrying a bag full of breadcrumbs, Andres walks along the Hudson River feeding the seagulls. This is something he does on a regular basis, even in a chilly day, even though he is a homeless man. The frenzy flock of birds surround Andres all along the way making him look like a seagull's Pied Piper. I wanted to capture the excitement of the moment as I perceived it: happy seagulls thanks to a good man.

This is a fantastic photo, there are birds all around him, its a well timed capture. Great drama in this too.

I like the activity all around him as he plods on through the cloud of wheeling and watching gulls. I wonder how you feel about the image with perspective corrected?

Ruben Lovely capture. The lonely man with his family. Your narrative makes it more compelling.

Regards.

Yes, much better Asher, it looks natural and more elegant, thanks for taking the time to work on this. When it comes to my photos, it´s not unusual for me to underestimate the power of a good prespective.

Great shot! I really like the DOF on this. Being new, I have been trying to reduce my DOF but this shows how, with the right composition, a greater DOF is perfect. My favorite part of the picture is the seagulls and how they contrast to the background of the sky.

Ruben,

I revisited today and realized that this belongs also in the Themes section in the beautiful "Paths" thread here.
