This is a return to your Sartre-roots! The apposition of two frames does create some unease and consternation. This concept is, I believe only peeked at and there's much more I'd challenge you to do. for example, you could mirror, (flip one horizontally, 180 degrees) and then the same idea is viewed even more aggressively. These motif of repeated patterns is already inherent in the stairs. Take it further.
I like your peephole as you look at urban behavior of our fellow in France!
