I'm impressed with the website http://www.sitejabber.com/ as it allows folk to give extensive feedback on websites and various sources of email "offers". I tried to use http://spokeo.com to check on a new registrant, and discovered that it was structured as a scheme to get one's credit card payment and to lead one to more expenses in a scheme that seems dishonest. site jabbers many negative reviews conformed my strong suspicions.

So I'd like to recommend this website. Also I use other databases to check new registrations, but this one is particularly rich and is in the ranks of http://resellerratings.com
