New OPF Forum: Imaging Technology

Asher Kelman

OPF Owner/Editor-in-Chief
Imaging Technology: Theory, Alternatives, Practice and Advances.

This is a brand-independent discussion forum for theory, process or device. So now you know where to go to discuss photography in a more fundamental way.

Here we can look at whatever might optimize imaging. As examples, it would at least include the following:

  • Theory
  • Lenses
  • New Materials
  • New Silica technology
  • Special Imaging Processors
  • Vertical Market technology e.g. face recogniton, movement tracking,
  • Multispectral imaging
  • Compound Cameras
  • Noise reduction
  • Focus technology
  • CMOS and other sensor capabilities
  • S/N

This is an important new place where we can get a heads up on the latest ideas that might make us rethink our constant purchases, chasing after more and better.

I've assembled threads that better belong here. Enjoy!

Hi, Asher,

This is a great idea. You'll probably be seeing some of my nerdy stuff here!

Did you hear the joke about the two cosines . . . .?
