I find piercings of the belly button distracting, perhaps because as a physician I know an infection there could be serious!
Besides, they take a long time to heal. Apparently, the healing time is proportional to the blood supply and the skin of the belly has few blood vessels. Some other piercings, on the other hand, are practiced on body parts with ample blood supply and heal a lot faster. But we don't see additional piercings on the picture, just a necklace with a hearth and a symbol I cannot understand.
Of course, I am not a physician, so all this may be wrong.
