This at around 5900 mts. Another 1300 meters to go.
Go grandma.

Aconcagua is a very high mountain and not every attempt makes it to the top. I can understand that the grand children are impressed by their grand mother. I would be...

Thank you Jerome. More than the height, it is the inclement weather that is driving her down. Although the climb itself has not been easy so far.
With wind chill factor, the temp has been around -36C with strong winds and snow blizzards.
Desolate..
But there is more than one way to skin a cat..weather permitting...

I shall be going to the airport shortly to receive Ayesha.
This time she did not make it to the summit. Sometimes one's best is not good enough.
But one should never give up trying. Ayesha has already started planning a return to the same mountain.
She is a bit sick, so starting tomorrow, she shall be undergoing a few medical tests. And then we are off to the sea for some recuperation.
I would like to thank you for your support, encouragement, and good wishes.

She is glad to be back home. Edema, and some sprains are being treated.
I guess her spirit is more bruised than her physical condition. She shall be back up very soon.

The homeward journey took longer than the expected 40 hrs...weather!!
But I shall never forget the breathtaking vistas that I had the privilege to see.
And the wonderful, wonderful people that I met. I shall go back to Argentina and to Mt. Acacongua..
