OPF Owner/Editor-in-Chief
One unique goal of the "Open Photography forum Inititiative was from the onset to be open in every possible way consistent with serious photography and a place to hang out!
OPF does not aim to be large "list" but a real photographic community. This requires some feedback if things don't seem quite right.
Let me update you on how things are working out:
1. Banned members:
Just to let you know, we have a regular and growing list of banned addresses. We have about 20 to date. No one is banned for posting what we disagree with! That would work against us!
The addresses banned are those who have no apparent connection with photography or who advertise pornography sites or drugs. Now it takes a little time and I'm getting good at it. However, I'd appreciate if anyone believes a member is not a genuine photographer; let me know so it can be checked out.
2. Aliases and pseudonyms: Our new registration limits this. If you see someone post without his or her full name, let that person know, but nicely!
3. Censored vocabulary: We don't believe in any type of censorship on professional issues or even other issues in the correct forum!
However, we don't permit a few choice rich Anglo-Saxon words that are commonly used expressively. This is to prevent access via search engines by people who would like to misuse OPF's open policy. We want, for example to be able to have artistic pictures without pulling in traffic of "downloaders" because we host images of people, unclothed.
Nothing big here, just letting you know how we try to keep this place on track and freindly.
