Copyright versus trade mark?

Since the current laws are quite vague on copyright useage would it be possible to Trade Mark oneself as a photgrapher? Thats would eliminate the need for constant sublission to the copyright office.

Any thoughts?

I was thinking about copytright and it made me wonder if Trade Mark might be an answer.
