This is not what I was expecting.

But it is a very, very nice composition. There are lots of different elements in the background, but they all come together nicely and don't distract from the men in black. If it were me I would have noticed the stairs in the background in an awkward place, but only after I got home.

Not to mention the dynamic of the people - do you have a story to go with this?

Hello Sam
Glad you like the pic!
They are a monastic community of Catholic men who follow the Rule of St. Benedict of Nursia. The purpose and focus of their life is the praise of God, principally in what St. Benedict calls the Opus Dei, the work of God and the liturgy of the church.
They try to live a simple community life of prayer and work.
As a monastic community they have the operation of the kitchen, a large farm, guesthouse and the upkeep of their buildings and grounds. Their main apostolic work is the operation of the Seminary of Christ the King. it offers both minor ( high school) and major ( college and theology) seminary formation.

Best, regards

James
