There are only 8 days left before the official launch of photo l.a. 2014, the Los Angeles International Photographic Art Exposition. Don't miss this really popular venue for classic and modern photography. A great chance to get right up to pictures on has always loved and meet other photographers and discuss their current work.

"Inner-City Arts’ mission is to use arts education to positively affect the lives of inner-city children, improving their chances to lead productive and successful lives by developing creativity, improving learning skills and building self-confidence.
Inner-City Arts provides elementary, middle and high school students, many living in Los Angeles' poorest neighborhoods, with the tools and skills they need to succeed academically and personally. Our unique approach to arts education brings elementary, middle and high school students, educators, families and the community to Inner-City Arts' award-winning campus—an oasis of creativity and learning in one of the nation's poorest neighborhoods—to work with professional teaching artists in well-equipped studios and performance spaces."

One of the photographer's I look for is the well regarded worker with Platinum and Palladium printing of Californian Redwoods to beaches, factories to neighborhood backyards. He'll be at the Susan Spiritus booth. I've seen some of the new pictures and discovered some older favorites will be on show too. Read more here.

If you'd like to collect a few really superbly crafted fined prints, here's your chance.

Is anybody from the forum exposing there?

Just Jim, AFAIK and then there will be exposure of visiting OPFrs to gallerists. There's always opportunity for making friends. It's really a chance to network as well as buy pictures and get an adrenaline rush every so often.

Now a photographer who works with Silver Gelatin but in a most surprising way. Look at Christopher Colville's explosive work here.
