Cedric, that's beautiful - to the extent that it is almost unreal. The colours are very atmospheric and filmlike. Can you tell us how you shot and processed this?

Hi Cedric,

I agree with Mike, it is a very intriguing composition. As I can see, you are looking at the window from the outside, but you have focused on the curtain so at first glance it seems as if you are inside looking outside (which you aren't). Is that so?

Thanks for showing :)

Cheers,

Hi,

It is almost that : as a matter of fact, i shot an advertisement for a perfume, it is a photograph of a poster which is on the wall of a cosmetic shop in Paris. It is interesting because we don't know what we are looking at : is it a poster ? is it a window ? are we seeing a real point of view ? Are we in or out ? Red and gold colors of the frame are very theater-like.

To get deeper and richer colors, i have a trick : i use a black-and-white layer in Photoshop, in Multiply mode, with 30 % fill. It's usefull to get patina and "older" colors.

Thanks for all your comments.
