It's not anymore a scop, but AFAIK, nobody announced the good news here in OPF…

Canon Europe has announced 1 more Year Warranty for the 1D3 & 1Ds3.

What about the USA? I wonder what triggered that? Is it the Nikon D3?

In fact with the Nikon D3, why would one need the 1DIII or 1DsIII. IOW, what parts of your work could not be dome as well with the D3?

One would need a 1DsMkIII if the subject moves a lot and they like to have the ability to crop the s**t out of the picture.

Also if they have a lot of Canon lenses and aren't rich :)

But an extended warranty in the USA would be nice.
