There were some cousins however.
There was nice light on the water and a mate was having fun on his SUP so I got a few shots...

Andy,
I am impressed with the ability of folk to launch themselves and then leap up vertical and ride in like superman! This works for me, as the fellow is somewhat older than most of the surfers I see and easier to identify with!
Is that an oar he has? Never noticed that before!

Asher, that's called a stand up paddle board and that's the paddle.
This guy is my age, so mid fifties. He runs an outdoor adventure business and does that sort of stuff for a living, also a helluva nice bloke. Plenty of old guys surf around here, myself included.
My dad was skiing this year, he's 79.

Thanks for the reminder, Andy. Being 70 years old now doesn't alter my need to surf. I'm heading for the east coast in March for my birthday. Order in a southerly for me. Cresent Head is good for that.
