Light and shadows

The low angle of the sun around here this time of the year provides good opportunities for playing with the quality of light and the long shadows cast.

This is the best picture of the bunch. A superb subject. We have nothing even approaching this. The triangular shadows work well with the pattern on the shutters. However, for the composition to work optimally, the picture needs to be cropped so the tips of the triangles on the left, The upper corner of the open shutter and the lower corner of the shadow), touch the edges of the frame. Otherwise, the tension and energy of the work is dissipated. Do you want loose or definitive? This is loose!

The cream white border is distracting. A large white matte might be something to consider instead.
