Enhancing OPF: Post a picture then look for 3-5 pictures to comment on!

Asher Kelman

OPF Owner/Editor-in-Chief
Time has come to remind folks that posting images requires 2 things:

1. Introduce your image and why it's being posted and what it means to you.

2. Look for 3-5 posts that spark your interest and give your POV!

With no introduction we have no guide as to what we are to do with your picture beyond, "Wow!" which hardly does you much good. Without commenting on other folks' photographs the blood flow of the community stops!@ That's not too good for us! Part of the social glue is the feeling we have of people really telling us the truth about our work: how it made them feel, the experience and then what ideas for improvement there might be or references to other work.

  • You're moved?

  • You're puzzled by some feature or meaning?

  • You like the technique?

  • "The style is like the work of...?"

  • "It might be improved if..."

  • "I learned ... from your work"

  • Add your own!

We are not FLIKR to just show off pictures, although we certainly do that too! :) Just Sharing: prefix works for that! Otherwise we want discussion so that everyone has a stake in someone else doing well.

Go to it. Post one, comment or 3-5 if you can! If a post is an orphan, get that first!
