Default Kolor (makers of AutoPano), will be joining GoPro

I was informed about this today:

The images from one or multiple GoPro's can be assembled into a large scale immersive panorama, and a larger budget will possibly speed up the development time for faster software support for such calculation intensive operations.

It might also be an interesting development for those involved in 360 degree panorama photography, and more likely 360 degree video. Here is an article with an image of several cameras joined in one mount, for capturing the full 360 degree immersive experience:
