Very stark image. The wood is extraordinarily white and dry with splits. Almost has some feeling of bleached cattle skulls one might find in the desert. I don't think most people will accept it as being only two posts. We tend to have to "fill in the story". With just two posts, I can imagine a game of cricket, (but it appears too short for legal "runs") or part of a game of baseball ,(there may be another post in the background. I'm sure each of us will have different connections to this.
